Vazhachal Falls, Athirapally
Categories: Waterfalls, Nature & Parks
Organize a picnic near the gushing water in a forested area at Vazhachal Falls. The water here isn’t falling or cascading but streaming in an almost horizontal fall down the steeply inclined rocks to the bottom of the hill. Enjoy the naturesque landscape while you relax in the tranquil area. Bring your own food, or buy it in the nearby town. Guards at vigil ensure the safety of everyone. Although the stream appears to be shallow, don’t step into the water--the rocks are slippery and protrude from the water, forming underwater crevices which add to the danger. Take a look at our Athirapally tourist route planner to schedule your visit to Vazhachal Falls and learn about what else to see and do during your holiday.
