Admire the intricate reliefs and detailed carvings on the walls, decorated with thousands of tiny mirrors, some covered with vibrant paint and foil. • It was a nice and fascinating place, but restricted by 2 factors: 1. you were not allowed entry into the actual mahal, you had to see it from the gateway. 2. It was very very crowded.  more »

  • Sheesh mahal is part of Amber fort. This place is a must visit. The fort is huge, grand and oh-so beautiful. It has a unique barren charm and a very rich history that lends this fort and legendary mystical feeling. There is a lake right outside the palace which shines like mirror from the top of the palace. You can see the whole of Jaipur from up there. The light and sound show at night is beyond amazing and must not be missed. The road leading up to the fort is narrow hilly road and there is usually a traffic jam. So, it's advisable to reach there at opening time
  • Small attractive place, yet beautiful. Charges are around Rs. 500 which is combo pack of this place with wax museum. Must visit if you can afford the price. Photography is not at all allowed here.
  • Excellent mirror works. Entry to Amber palace is free , then you need to purchase tickets to enter sheesh mahal. Photography is allowed, so take your reflected image from the mirrors!
  • Here Sheesh means mirror and Mahal means palace. It is inside the famous jai mandir near Amber palace. It is the world's renowned Sheesh Mahal, a hall full of mirrors, the walls and the ceiling of the mahal are covered with beautiful array of mirrors, which reflects any streak of light as to illuminate the entire room. The mirror pieces were specially imported from Belgium during that period around 350 years back.
  • Beautiful place. Extraordinary science behind the architecture.
