Perched atop a mountain ridge, Amber Palace impresses visitors with its imposing Hindu architecture of towering ramparts constructed from distinctive red sandstone. Built in 1592, the complex occupies a spot on the World Heritage List, along with several other hill forts in the region. Enter through the Sun Gate, a grand entryway to the fortress' main courtyard. Explore the many different sections within the walls, which include a temple and several halls with intricate ceiling decorations and expansive gardens. Don't miss the Sheesh Mahal section, which boasts a number of ornate carvings and artwork made from glass. From the edge of the ramparts, you can enjoy a sweeping view over the surround valley, lake, and mountains. Amber Palace is just one of the many highlights you can arrange to see using our , international travel planner Edition.

  • Of all the forts and landmarks in Jaipur, this was the best one. It's huge and would have been magnificent in it's day. I suggest you skip the others and only do Amber Fort.

  • This is a beautiful fort, worth visiting. But my suggestion is visit it in the early morning. It gets crowded by mid morning and there is no place to park or to walk. Get a guide to take you, Salim...

  • Definitely a must visit in the Jaipur area. The fort is clandestine and has a lot of history in its halls. You can comfortably drive right up to the fort entrance. Lovely and picturesque views of the hills and surrounding village. The tour guides are very knowledgeable and friendly. The visit to the block printing shop at the foothills of the fort is absolutely worthwhile.
  • Amazing experience. The fort is beautiful and the guide takes you around the fort explaining all the details and key notes about the history. There are several view points and photography points to take good pictures. You can also take elephant ride inside the fort. Must visit palace!
  • Incredible, beautiful and well maintained, Huge in area and would take whole day to see the fort. The fort amazing example of a well maintained fort. Has a very detailed explanation of how the fort was built, its significance along with explanation on each. The view you get of the fort when you are about to reach the fort is quite mesmerizing. Definitely worth visiting if you are in Jaipur. Do check out Nahargarh too if you can, feel the royalty of king as well as feel the beauty of this place. I would like to recommend you please go early morning after 9. Am so you can see full fort .This is very big fort you need whole day to see all.
  • A place of very historical significance to Jaipur. The architecture is very interesting. The fort is huge and you would need around 2-3 hours to visit all parts of it. Do take a guide, it will cost you around Rs 200 but they will explain everything nicely. Tickets are only Rs 100. Photography is allowed inside the campus. Lots of places to click pictures.
  • City of forts and palaces - Jaipur. When you are driving from Delhi Amber Palace is the 1st palace you will encounter. This Palace is located 10-12km form city on the outskirts overlooking the city. Its a very huge palace from where you can see the walls on the hills. We visited here around 15:00 in April. It was very hot. If you are reaching in noon do take a water bottle and a cap. Don't get in touch with any local guide as they give wrong information's. We can take our own vehicle up and till the entrance of the palace. This palace needs an entry ticket of 50/- per head (Both offline & online available). Also, night light show is available and it starts from 19:00 till 22:00 with 21:30 as last entry. A beautiful place to see the sunset tooo. Enjoy the beauty of AMBER Palace/.!! Cheers guys.!!🙌🍻
