  • All the historical forts are nicely built and this is also one of them. The fort is situated besides river Yamuna. It is very popular among locals and good tourist point.  more »
  • The Fort, which is very large, only you can visit a small part because in use by the army. This is located on the Yamuna River near its junction with the Ganges. What you can visit is occupied by a series of small temples. Not worth visiting it. We went in January that it coincides with a festival that is held on the banks of the Yamuna, where thousands of people are concentrated living for approximately 20 days in tents. It is an impressive sight but there are lot of accumulated garbage and many children asking for

  • Build by Emperor Akbar, Allahabad Fort stand beside the mighty Yamuna reflecting the history the city of Allahabad has. Currently the fort is owned by Indian Army and is an ordinance base. Fort also houses the mythological tree of life known as AkshayVat. It also has a pillar of Emperor Ashoka. Public viewing of fort is still restricted and just only a very small part of fort housing a temple is open.
  • Wonderful architect and exotic look and feel of spirituality because it is just beside Sangam where the holy rivers Ganga, Yamuna and Saraswati meet. You can't get inside because it is now restricted place and only Army allowed to go inside. But still one can enjoy around it. It gives wonderful look from outside as well.
  • Under the control of army. A place of historical importance but unfortunately not open for public.
  • Amazing place but not tourist place but open for few special days to visit to limited place only.
  • Very well place once I got the chance to explore. Great history and it shows the Inctrediable india.
