Alibag Beach, Alibaug

(1.3/5 based on 300 reviews on the web)
Escape from Mumbai's chaos on a ferry to Alibag Beach, a popular social gathering place with abundant eating options. When tide is low, you can explore the foot of the Kolaba fort, while high tide provides optimal swimming conditions. Build sand castles, play cricket, or just stroll around the clean coastline, dipping your feet in the shallows against a background of cypress and coconut trees. Other activities on site include horse-drawn cart and camel rides, as well as various boating options. A good place for family and friends, the beach lies 1 km (0.6 mi) from the public bus station.
