Beach Nature / Park
Escape from Mumbai's chaos on a ferry to Alibag Beach, a popular social gathering place with abundant eating options. When tide is low, you can explore the foot of the Kolaba fort, while high tide provides optimal swimming conditions. Build sand castles, play cricket, or just stroll around the clean coastline, dipping your feet in the shallows against a background of cypress and coconut trees. Other activities on site include horse-drawn cart and camel rides, as well as various boating options. A good place for family and friends, the beach lies 1 km (0.6 mi) from the public bus station. • We went to this place in August end and the place was terribly dirty. There were no shacks / eateries in sight. If in Alibaug, ti is better to visit the Kishim beach than to go here.  more »

  • Located about 3 hrs from Mumbai, it's a popular tourist weekend spot, ideal for relaxing and four kids to play with sand...
  • Great atmosphere.... visit at low tides so that u can get to the fort easily...!!
  • brown sand beach and traces of rocks too. not exactly a very clean beach. its good for playing cricket/ football though
  • Most popular weekend destination from day to day tension, stressed life.
  • The place is great with an awesome view of beach and the fort nearby. The place is bit crowded with the boats and local people ,instead it's a great place to hangout with friends . You can spend a night in the cottage, near the beach or can setup a tent of your own at a place far from water . The roads from mumbai to alibaug are in good condition now .
