  • Very peaceful and pleasant place to relax at any time. No entry cost or security check processes to go through. Is located almost at the centre of the city and has local transports right outside the gate. The inside is very well kept and has a time line of Gandhi's life. The riverside seating spot is also very enjoyable. A visit will calm the mind.
  • It is a very peaceful place. Must say beautifully maintained. The best part is there are no restrictions, everything is open to visitors. The ashram stands next to the Sabarmati river and there are multiple huts where M.K Gandhi and his fellow dwellers lived. Go with 1-2 hours of time, with the idea to simply relax and appreciate the serenity of the place.
  • An excellent place with the touch of heritage. The 'Father of Nation' of India has developed this unique concept of Ashram based on some basic values to be inculcated among the common people to build a stronger nation. The replica and memories of Bapuji is being captured and preserved meticulously here. It's an automatic choice who loves history. You may explore many unknown truth here. Many tourists including them coming from abroad used to visit this place regularly.
  • Its a place of great importance as Mahatma Gandhi initiated many independence activities here. It should be well maintained. The are gallery is very good, well taken care of, but the ground and parking space is very haphazardly and visitors park their vehicles randomly. Many foreign visitors come here which would present a false image of our mentality about caring such important place of our National father. Overall place is great, you could have great insights into the life of Mahatma Gandhi. And behind the ashram there's Sabarmati river which is an addition to the place.
  • Best place ever. It's not just an ashram, it's a temple for them who believes in non violence. At republic day and independence day people from various parts of the country come here for flag hoisting ceremony. It's a best part everyone should join on that day. This is an epicenter of freedom movement. Small library also as available here you can purchase those books too. And don't forget to buy " Gandhiji's three monkeys " as a souvenir.
