At Adalaj Stepwell, explore the water building which served as a resting place for many pilgrims and traders for hundreds of years. Built in 1499, its carved ornamentation depicts mythological scenes that represent the Indo-Islamic architecture. Enter the mystical site via one of three stairs which meet at a huge square platform underground, while an opening in the ceilings invite sunlight. See the spots where villagers came to fill their pots with sacred water from the octagonal well, offered prayers to gods, and socialized. The site has well-connected routes, so you can reach it by via train, car, or bus. • Need to see some real great Architecture and experience what was our Past So termed as Old Gold Engineers Expertise!!! Then You really need to see this.. It is a marvel of craftsmanship. Good for photography. People who think the place adventurous will not find it interesting. It will hardly take an hour to have an experience to this place.
  • This is a historically important place. Ambience is so nice and relieving. Try to go at morning , because sun rays coming through the windows is beautiful scene. Great place for photography too.
  • A marvel of historical architecture. The beautiful carvings on this stepwell are a living proof of the adage that - A thing of beauty is a joy forever. The delicate and intricately carved geometric designs and religious figurines display unbelievable excellence and passion of medieval Indian architecture.
  • It was a family time here. We enjoyed a lot. We all were so happy. I wish to get a 2nd chance to visit it again. Easy to reach here. There is a bus, rickshaw and van transportation facility available. One the best heritage place of Gujarat.
  • It's a beautiful example of local architecture.A treat for the eyes.Excellently maintained. No food or drinks available do bring your own. Well worth a visit.
