Dayal Bagh, Agra

#7 of 11 in Historic Sites in Agra
A visit to Dayal Bagh allows you to see an architectural marvel not yet finished, but even now compared to the beauty of the famous Taj Mahal. The main focus of the grandiose structure dedicated to the First Guru of a branch of the Hindu religion is the material it’s being made of—white marble. The entire complex will be marble-built, and the present buildings boast extremely detailed carvings and decorations, mostly with floral motifs and arabesques. There’s also a small garden on site where you can take a break and snap some memorable photos from there. Where to stay in Agra

Agra offers a broad selection of budget and mid-range hotels, many within easy striking distance of the Taj Mahal, the main reason to visit the city. The area just south of Taj offers arguably the least expensive accommodations, while the streets splitting off from Fatehabad Road boast a high concentration of mid-range hotels. Keep in mind that free Wi-Fi remains unavailable even in most of Agra's nicest hotels--expect additional (and possibly steep) fees for limited Internet access.
