  • A lot of attraction to this old DC3 military American (C117) that stopped him two engines by freezing fog in November 1943. Mr Gregory Fletcher, 26-year-old, managed to land in this remote place of Solheimasandur, to fortune of its crew members. The place is very interesting and gives the feeling of being at the end of any distant planet. It's worth the time. From the road, where you have to leave the car, you have to walk about 4 kilometers until the C117. It takes 30 minutes brisk as it is flat and easily accessible. If it rains, go well-prepared with raincoat, both for the top as pants, because the water comes from the side and you will reach the plane openwork.
