  • For those who love geology this is a must see. You can walk between two continents and that is awesome. It is also incredibly beautiful. There is a nice shop and restrooms nearby (a small fee applies) so it is a good place to break up a long drive.
  • Visited here in 2016, one of my favorite stops on our visit to Iceland. I’ve always enjoyed geology and this is a geologist’s dream. you can easily see the fissures formed by moving continental tectonic plates. Being able to physically observe an ever changing earth is truly amazing and being able to stand in between these two plates was a once in a lifetime experience.
  • Beautiful location, we went snowmobiling across the glacier. We also saw some areas used for the "Game of Thrones" show if you're into that. You have to pay for the toilets in some locations though.
  • Very beautiful landscapes with a historic significance. Best gone with a guide/reading all the facts. Take your time walking through here, there's more to take in than you think.
  • Prepare yourself for some walking. The waterfall here is very beautiful. there is a small parking fee here and you will have to pay for toilet too.
