  • Gjain is a beautiful green setting, a kind of oasis in the middle of nowhere, very beautiful to see. To get there, you need to get out of route 32 and 327, 4 x 4, preferably track. There is no guets through (unless you want to do a hook for the farm of Stöng). At Gjain, it's a fun to go down in this little Valley. A real movie with its caves, waterfalls... set one would expect to see out of the Elves somewhere! The site was also used to the shooting of Game of Thrones, season 4 episode 5 with Clegane and Arya. Too bad that the sky was not part of our passage, on blue background that must be still prettier.

  • Gjain Park is superb, so take the time to walk, climb, jump, jump over to enjoy. Nature puts us at disposal of small havens like Gjain, it's great. Access reserved for the 4 x 4 road.

  • Recommended step through our internet searches, we have made a stop on our trip... And what was our surprise when before we put together this magical landscape. The Valley is full of waterfalls and other caves all within a calm and green setting. It's a detour to make without a doubt both breathtaking wonder.

  • This location is hidden in the middle of what appears to be nothing. If you do not have a 4 wheel drive car, you really should park at the sign and walk (about 20-30min) to the actual location. This place can be really difficult to find and there is not much to mark it. My husband and I thought we may have found it and walked down the road just to see... You will pass pretty much nothing but mountians and goats until the landscape drops down, revealing this natural gem. Small waterfalls and a fairy tale landscape will appear below you. There are little steps built into the mountain to make your descent easier. This is really a one of a kind place.
  • Not really accessible in the winter. I drove a 4WD but wasn't able to go pass thick later of snow on the road.
  • The cutest little place ever. It looked like an enchanted garden. The road to get there is very bad and they recommend that you use a 4X4 vehicle to get there.
  • This hidden verdant valley of waterfalls was one of our favorite visits in Iceland. Walk in from the top past the gate. Remember to close the gate behind you.
  • Place was absolutely phenomenal spent an entire day here. There was a rocky trail that lead to the section. You have to hike it. It looks like there's absolutely nothing but the moment you see it your eyes will widen. One of the best places I've visited traveling mostly all south iceland
