  • We were given an extremely informative tour. The guide was a graduate student who was very passionate about the subject. She imparted a lot of information about volcano in general and the museum in specific. The museum has a lot of art featuring valcano. The movies are a nice extra. Note it is a small museum.
  • Really interesting with lots of art work to engage in the volcanic eruptions of not just the Icelandic but volcanoes further afield. A great learning experience!
  • Fantastic! The fellow working when i visited gave lots of information, showing live information of recent events in Iceland. Museum has a lot of hands-on rock samples of various things, and the walls are lined with historical art of volcanoes from around the world. Small size makes it easy to see as a stop before/after lunch in town. 10/10.
  • Very interesting and informative. A good way to pass the time in Stykkisholmur
