  • Super beautiful and amazing volcano. You can see it while driving in South Iceland, you just have to know that this exact mountain actually is Hekla.

  • I love to visit and watch the beautiful sceneries of Iceland!
  • Nice place, i was there 26.2.2000 . Only 2nd grade burns so i am giving it 5 stars. Much more peaceful than other volcanoes. ;)
  • Nice views from here. The night time visit turned out to be great, something more than our expectations. Trekking in the moonlight was real fun. Great views of this place. Nice resources place offering great views to the visitors. Try night visit that would be great fun. There is sufficient place for camping.
  • Nice overall, when i reached the top i slipped and fell in, i met the godess hel (she was pretty rude) but i got to meet my dead grandma so that makes up for it.
  • It was impossible to reach the summit as the wind was unbearable and ash was blowing! Was only able to reach the slope of the volcano at about 1000m elevation mark in my 4x4. Even walking to the summit was impossible. The permanent white "hood" that covers the top of the volcano is where the inferno is that consists of fog, rain, snow, blowing ash and extremely stormy winds of up to 100km/h.
