  • We waited too late to go to see this so it was dark by the time we got there. You need to wear good shoes because part of the path requires hiking over lava rocks and streams. If you like rustic this ...  more »

  • Stunning views and a very historic pool. The pool doesn't exactly feel historic though. You could have told me it was built in 1997 and I might believe you. I liked the spot but two things got me, maybe three. The water is only Luke warm. After a long day on my feet I kind of had the expectation of a "hot" spring. The other thing was this hot spring is a little gross. No showers and I saw at least one band-aid floating around. That said it's a historic spot about the scenery. It's stunning and only a ten minute walk. Just don't get the expectations too high as mine were because this spot is free and survives on donations. I'm glad I dipped in the historic spot for a few minutes but probably won't be back to this beautiful location.
  • A great experience and really worth a trip. I walked there in trainers but I would recommend something better to put your feet in (especially in the spring since flooding water might be an issue). It's not the cleanest place in the world so bring flip-flops for the "changingroom", a place my girlfriend calls the house of death...
  • This is the true "secret lagoon" go there before is not that secret anymore. And go there before 9am or after dark (bring your own lights) to have the place for yourself. Not the cleanest place, if you're a germ freak better skip it and go to Blue lagoon instead with the big chunk of tourists :) The view and the feeling of total solitude compensate the dirty changing rooms.
  • Trekked to this after dark. Trail was slightly difficult to follow in the dark but manageable. No lighting at the pools so be sure to bring your own. Worth the trip especially in the daylight. Probably wouldn't recommend an after dark visit
