  • Very impressive monument from a disaster that happened in 1996. Just goes to ahow how dangerous that mother nature can be.

  • Twisted metal sculpture mage from remnants of a bridge destroyed by folds and glacial boulders. Not a destination location but worth a stop along the ring road.

  • At first, I thought there was roadwork being done, until we pulled over to read about this twisted mess. Very interesting. On the way back, we saw some adults sliding down it.

  • Visited may 2022. Interesting stop kind of in the middle of nowhere. A reminder of mother natures force. Nice mountain backdrop. Good to stop, have aook and stretch your legs between drives.
  • Free exhibit to visit right off the highway. Very impressive to see the power of mother nature.
  • Interesting piece of recent history. A quick stop at the roadside, if you are passing by.
  • a pleasant brief stop to check out the bridge monument and nice view of the glacier. the volcano erupted in 1996, melting portions of glacier, creating massive floods with large blocks of ice that destroyed the bridge.
  • Panels explaining about the flash floods associated with volcanoes that erupted under glaciers. The landscape is quite impressive and it's a good point to see both glaciers in the distance. It is a quick stop, since there's not a lot to see. But it's worth it because you are basically standing on top of a testimony of the incredible forces of nature.
