  • This a bit of the drive from the main road but worth every effort. We travelled to it during heavy snowfall and although a little rough in places it was OK. The view is amazing but it is all about the...  more »
  • Very nice place to visit, walk and see the beauties of the surrounding area. Svartifoss trail to go to Svartifoss lasts 1 h 30 total. The trail is not so hard and you can see a few falls on the way. I could only imagine the beauty of the scene under a bright sun in the afternoon (cloudy and rainy). Bring your crampons (winter) in case, the trails are sometimes slippery. Skaftafellsjökull trail 1.8 km gravel fact led me straight to Skaftafellsjökull. It was majestic. We could walk to the foot of the glacier and thus see it in all its glory. I was alone, in the middle of nowhere to contemplate a wonder of nature. To see absolutely.
