  • We were lucky enough for this to be a stop included on our day tour of the area. The gallery has the warmth of a living room and the intimacy of my grandfather’s workshop. Our host was gracious and...  more »

  • Okay, everything in Iceland comes with an exorbitant fee, but this pushed our patience over the top. We drove the 20 minutes out to this gallery, then found out we were required to spend 1500 ISK per....  more »
  • Beautiful work, hand-made pieces and wooden machines by the artist, his wife, and his father, as well as work by other local artists. The gallery is built around the woodshop of the artist's father. You need to ring the doorbell for entry - the fee is 1500ISK per person, and it is worth it. We were given a very personal tour about the different pieces and their origins, as our host graciously worked to talk to us in English. We also got an impromptu demonstration of a refurbished church organ. Thank you. Please keep making more beautiful art!
  • My son and I have made a small tour along the coast from Selfoss from. First, a visit to the troll - and fairy Museum (Islandic Wonders) in Stokkseyri and then along the River to the Urriðafoss, along near the Ringstrasse 1. While we came across this small museum and Studio by chance. The Museum shows wooden sculptures of the "family of artists" and "historical tales". The son of artist has misled us, giving insight into the family history, life in Iceland earlier and the formation of the Court. It was a very personal tour. as he reported too much from his father. Very interesting and beautifully enriched the round trip.
