  • In 4 x 4 vehicles went through the road is hidden can be reached by car, but the room was. Upon arrival two cafes, toilets and hot springs. And we recommend that managers be undressing in the bathroom, put in a toilet. It was adequate though toilets are men and women with heating and clean the change. Hot water temperature is 40 degrees to 43 degrees and 38 degrees was. See this baggage baggage this small bubbles are coming up, and places the ground is hot and interesting. Feel the wind's strong winds at the seaside, and firmly made stone wall between the springs and the sea, are reconfirmed. Almost every day and cleaning of facility management people, put the water, adjust the temperature of the hot water is hidden is kept with time and effort better spent. Making takes charge about 1000 yen, and even management people, also thanks to the managers and hot live for look at royalties paid, (box could have been).

  • Grettislaug is a small, quiet hotpot, found at the end of long local road. In the summer, any car can get to it but in the winter it might be harder for basic cars to reach. It is nothing fancy but is...  more »

  • We didn't stay, but drove from our nearby accommodation to visit the hot springs. It's an incredible location, with mountains on one side and the sea on the other. There is an honesty box if you're using the pools - 1,000 ISK per person, though we did see others come in without paying. The pools were a good temperature, and we actually enjoyed it more than Myvatn Nature Baths, where we had been the previous night. There were seals swimming just by the hot pools, and a nice walk up behind where you can almost see the sun set.
  • One of the best nights with my daughter during our trip through Iceland on the ring road. Enjoyed the northern lights, shooting stars, and the moon all well sitting in a natural hot spring. It’s also free, all you need to do is open and close a few gates to keep the horses in.
  • The road is closed to Grettislaug and Jarlslaug in winter, but we walked the icy road about 2 km to get there. There are 2 not so friendly but harmless border collies on that road that may follow you and bark non stop at you. They eventually get bored and leave. We had the hot pots to ourselves. It was about -7 celcius and windy but it was still very nice and a comfortable temperature in the springs. The toilets were amazing. They werw clean and dry and warm. There is even a heater in there. Whoever maintains this site is wonderful. If you go please respect this place, keep it clean and pay the 1000 krona per person. There is an interesting history to this place as well. We went in February of 2018 and it was fabulous!
  • Beautiful place on this earth. When we were there we were all alone - fantastic also when pther people are there.
  • Pleasant camping site next to the beach. There is an outdoor thermal pool, which is a nice add on. Toilets were clean. There is a kitchen room, but it only consists of a sink, toaster and some tables and chairs (no stove). There are no showers (unless you use the pool). 1k ISK per person. Fairly good place to stay.
