Videy Island is home to Imagine Peace Tower, designed by Yoko Ono and dedicated to her late husband, John Lennon. The island is also known for the excavated ruins of a tenth-century village and its hiking and biking trails with rewarding views of the harbor. See the original interior fittings of one of the country's oldest churches and a historical display in the basement of the first Icelandic house built of stone. Facilities include a restaurant, a cabin with glass walls that is a popular resting place for hikers, small huts with public bathrooms, and a horse rental.
