  • I barely scratched the surface of this place but I've never seen a municipal library with such a collection of comics in my life! I could spend weeks here. And, unlike almost everything else in this very expensive town it's free to use.
  • The main city library. It has a very good toddler, kids area on the second floor. Loads of childrens books. Toys, dress-up and a fish-tank. (Please remember to take your and your kids shoes off before going into the specific play area for toddlers/infants). Loads of books in icelandic and english. Some in german, sweedish etc. Staff is helpful.
  • Good Library!
  • Mikið úrval af bókum og fínt umhverfi til þess að vinna. Ókeypis Wi-Fi er til staðar.
  • Best library in Iceland!!/ Besta bókasafnið á Íslandi.

Where to stay in Reykjavik

In this highly walkable capital, many of Reykjavik's hotels and guesthouses offer close proximity to the city's popular attractions, bars, and restaurants. The waterfront offers an exciting dose of activity. Although Reykjavik provides plenty of accommodations to its flocks of visitors, there is a dearth of budget options in the city. Price-conscious visitors should consider staying in a hostel, with both private and dorm rooms available, or a nearby campsite. Although the campground is not as centrally located as some hotels, guests are better positioned to take advantage of the natural surroundings.
