  • Was never inside the Museum when it was included in the city tour which was booked by Islandia. Whatever you do do not book your trip to Iceland with Islandia. They don't keep their promises.

  • With the ticket for the Reykjavik Art Museum in the city center, you can also visit this piece of heritage. It is a little way apart (next to the park) but made the disappointment of the center part for our good. A very friendly reception in a special building with a very special acoustics in the dome. Not big but worth it to visit. In addition to a number of works by Asmundarsafn itself a number of works by other artists.

  • The gallery was mostly closed, however you still paid full price for the two exhibits open. One of which was an American photographer. The other, ironically, was a very minimalist exhibit that the term ' empty room' could capture. Art imitating life. Waste of money.
  • I am personally not a big fan of art and sculptures, but there is some thing about his museum, it shows the works of Asmundur Sveinsson and was opened in 1983. They have sculptures in the garden surrounding the museum. Asmundur was one of the pioneers of Icelandic sculpture. There is a small shop where you can buy a copy of his works.
  • The Museum is even a work of art. The sculptures exhibited both indoors and outdoors exude great power and/or a beautiful serenity. We feasted, stayed there almost alone for 2 hours: a beautiful souvenir!
