  • I was there when the museum was closed. Very limited hours posted. BUT, there are lovely sculptures surrounding the building that area lovely - even after a snow storm! Near botanical park.  more »
  • At least the extensive sculpture garden is. I visited in the early evening and morning when the lighting made Sveinsson's works all the more dramatic.  more »

  • The gallery was mostly closed, however you still paid full price for the two exhibits open. One of which was an American photographer. The other, ironically, was a very minimalist exhibit that the term ' empty room' could capture. Art imitating life. Waste of money.
  • I am personally not a big fan of art and sculptures, but there is some thing about his museum, it shows the works of Asmundur Sveinsson and was opened in 1983. They have sculptures in the garden surrounding the museum. Asmundur was one of the pioneers of Icelandic sculpture. There is a small shop where you can buy a copy of his works.
  • The Museum is even a work of art. The sculptures exhibited both indoors and outdoors exude great power and/or a beautiful serenity. We feasted, stayed there almost alone for 2 hours: a beautiful souvenir!
