  • Easy to find your way to the Parliament in Reykjavik. Easily accessible by wheelchair. It is nicely preserved too.

  • Oystuvetrile square walking busy laugavegur Street, in the city streets and look in front. It is was not allowed in the city of Reykjavik in older buildings.

  • Despite being the oldest Parliament in the world, who see the 2-story building never say that is what it is. However the building has some beauty, lots of Windows and a lawn with flower beds in front of the entrance. You can't visit the interior. On another occasion I participated in a reception of a member of the Government in its work, it was a simple wooden Villa, although beautiful and functional.

  • Nice building on the outside with nearby square. Unfortunately we could not get a tour but it's worth emailing them to ask for a tour just before you go.
  • This is the parliament house and it is worth to take a look at. The building was built in the years 1880-1881. Before it became the parliament house it housed the national library and the national gallery for a short period of time. The house is a little small so next to it there is an additional building. There is one interesting thing about the front of the house, Iceland is an independent country but if you look at the front of house at the top you can see the danish crown and coat of arms.
  • Small and simple. Pretty park across the street. The park is more worth a visit then this spot but all of it looks good.
  • Without someone who explained a bit over this house its nothing special:/
  • Nice old building. Local tour guide seemed to like it
