  • We came here with a teenage girl.It was interesting. We learnt it scientifically. It is serious. Many students were there with the teacher. There were many collections in small space.  more »

  • A little bit smaller than I expected it to be. Interesting collection to say the least. Its just a bunch of penises from a bunch of different (mostly marine) animals.  more »

  • We decided to go here more for a laugh than anything and it was good fun. I was actually intrigued more than I thought I would be and am sure it could have some scientific interest although it doesn't strike me as if this is the museums main priority. I'd recommend if for mo other reason than you can tick it off your 'to do list'.
  • A cool little museum with an undeniably unique gallery. Well worth the entry fee. Unlike any museum I have ever visited. Completely educational. Tastefully done!
  • Meh. It's a bunch of penises in jars. Not really my thing. You can be in an out within an hour.
  • Interesting to see but you won't be in there for very long (an hour or less for most I guess). It is pretty educational and there are a few cultural jokes here and there (elf phallus). Fun for what it is.
  • Funny, but too repeating (lot of whales phallus...) that makes the experience a bit boring. More clear explanation would be welcome ! Otherwise, I found the visit very humoristic, mostly the legendary creature's penis...

Where to stay in Reykjavik

In this highly walkable capital, many of Reykjavik's hotels and guesthouses offer close proximity to the city's popular attractions, bars, and restaurants. The waterfront offers an exciting dose of activity. Although Reykjavik provides plenty of accommodations to its flocks of visitors, there is a dearth of budget options in the city. Price-conscious visitors should consider staying in a hostel, with both private and dorm rooms available, or a nearby campsite. Although the campground is not as centrally located as some hotels, guests are better positioned to take advantage of the natural surroundings.
