Categories: Gift & Specialty Shops, Shopping
Browse through a selection of both international artists and Icelandic indie bands at 12 Tonar. The store and the music label were founded in 1998, and soon the store became a meeting place for Icelandic musicians and emerging talents, such as Björk, Sigur Rós, and múm. Sip a free espresso or tea, read magazines, and relax while listening to music. Occasionally you might catch a live concert inside the store or in the garden. The store also sells T-shirts, cups, caps, and bags with the label's logo. Choose to start, finish, or center your holiday on a trip to 12 Tonar by using our Reykjavik itinerary planner.

Traditional record shop in the best meaning. Lots of local music, lots of vinyls and CDs, very helpful and knowledgable personel. A must go for music lovers.

Whenever visiting Reykjavik this is a must goto. It's the definition of a welcoming and cozy record store. Friendly people, great music, coffee and live performances. A visit is highly recommended!
Amazingly nice place with passionate people and great service.
Being from Portland, I know a good record shop. This is a good record shop. One can open any CD or LP for free and listen as they wish. Funny, helpful, English-speaking staff.
The nicest record store I ever visited in my life! I will highly recommend this store if you're looking for icelandic records. A great plus is his owner who have passion for his business, clientele, work and the cat next door.
This is my favourite shop in reykjavik, excellent music and beautiful environment!
