  • Beautiful and loving display of birds and eggs in a pretty wooden house. The lady at the desk was very friendly and attentive. Don't miss the impressive boat Sleipnir in the boathouse. Wonderful!
  • Vast and well organized collection of bird species in a neat building. Helped us get a better idea on how to tell apart the many Gull species in the area
  • It was closed on the day we came despite being midday during business hours. The short detour down a gravel road was scenic with sheep up close and a parking spot near the lake with a few birds.
  • A fairly comprehensive collection of the birds living at the Myvatn during the warm part of the year. You will see eggs, stuffed birds, nests and more at the museum. I guess this is a private museum, still well worth seeing, since you will probably see birds that are familiar and also some that are quite exotic.
  • I wish the birds in the exhibition were alive
