  • Due to icy conditions, the usual track to Dettifoss was closed, necessitating a long detour. Unfortunately without crampons, we decided on the shorter walk to Selfoss. The waterfall was in full flight...  more »

  • By far the most interactive and open falls in Iceland. Maybe a little dangerous but still fantastic that you can walk straight up to the edge!
  • Selfoss is 0.8km walk from Dettifoss, I guess it is the upper stream of Dettifoss. The water stream started to blow into your face and camera as you get closer. Since it is close to Dettifoss, it is worth walking over...
