Create an itinerary including Mývatn Nature Baths
Soak inside or out at Mývatn Nature Baths. A warm natural lagoon maintains a temperature of 35-40 C (95-104 F). Inside you can take an even hotter steam bath, which uses geothermal steam that rises through holes in the floor. If you get too hot, you'll find cold showers outside. Relax with a back, foot, or full-body massage, in the massage room or out by the lagoon. Often chosen as an alternative to the Blue Lagoon, these hot springs attract fewer tourists and are less expensive. • This was amazing! Loved this location. Beautiful water. Nice and calm location. Loved the drink locations but it would be great if you could easily get more drinks. I love their saunas and it was great that they rented towels and bathing suits.
  • I frankly loved it. I went to Blue Lagoon several years ago and I’d say skip that and come here. Great hospitality and features, lovely location. Was not too crowded at all during my June visit.
  • The windows in the steam rooms were fantastic. The water was impressive. It appeared exclusively to be a tourist attraction. Instead of being classy it felt "cheesy." The experience fell far short of the cost.
  • We loved it. Firstly you pay your entrance fee, you the. Need to shower (naked) and then the baths are HUGE. Heaps of room to find your own little quiet place. They have a extra hot bath and steam rooms as well if you need it. We spent around 1.5 hours here. The cafe has great views as well. The bonus is the beer is well priced
  • Me and my friend spent a few hours here and we had an amazing experience! The surrounding area is beautiful and we got quickly used to the smell! You can drink as much orange water as you want and there is even an option to bath in 41°c water!
