We enjoyed many amazing waterfalls in Iceland, the large and awe inspiring and the smaller and more accessible. Seljalandsfoss is not the biggest, but is singular because you get to walk all the way..... more »
Beautiful waterfall with remarkable nature and surroundings. You should definitely put it on your list for visiting Iceland and be sure to check everything out before you leave! more »
Yes, it will feel like there are a lot of people there, even in late September, but you'll be surprised at how the people barely even show up in your photos, and the waterfall is more than worth a visit. The path to get behind is a bit tricky to traverse--luckily there's a rope to pull yourself up with at a particularly rough spot, but it's also wet and muddy there so you'll get a little dirty.
Nice waterfall where you can walk behind the waterfall! Great pictures guaranteed! Make sure to come early before all the touring buses and enjoy this amazing place in all peace. I recommend taking the first parking lot you see when leaving the main road. This parking lot is for free!
Exceptional experience! You can walk around the whole waterfall Beautiful place. There is a paid parking spot, toilets and some snack bar.
Absolutely breathtaking waterfall. Passed by randomly on my travels and it was def worth stopping by. They have cute little shops and a cafe too! Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful.
If you love waterfalls this is the place to go. You can walk behind the falls (wear rain gear...you get really wet!) Cute gift shop and cafe bar there.
