  • Three beautiful waterfalls on route 261. Coming from Selfoss (Highway 1, the ring road) go to kinks on Road 261. This will take you along the waterfalls on the left,. The last waterfall is the most beautiful. You look few people because most remain on the ring road and you'll see there are no coaches. Nice and quiet to view. Via an evil way (No asphalt) you can drive back to Highway 1.

  • Very beautiful and unusual waterfall, don't be lazy go 100 meters from the more popular neighbor.

  • This beautiful waterfall is located not far from the Seljalandsfoss. The waterfall is not seen when you stand directly before that because it covers the wall of the Canyon and to come directly to the waterfall it is necessary by the small river which feeds the waterfall. Man must Wade through but not directly but can go over a few stones on the edge of the river. It is somewhat slippery but quite solvable, but it is in there then all the more important.

  • This is the less recognized waterfall in the area, but I actually preferred this one over the other. Would definitely recommend walking a bit further to see it!
  • Wonderful waterfall completely hidden from the trail outside, about a 10 minute stroll from its more famous neighbor Seljalandsfoss. Walk through the shallow stream into a crack in the cliff wall, duck under some overhanging rock and come face to face with the 40 meter tall Gljúfrabúi ("canyon dweller"). Bring a small towel to protect and wipe your camera gear - the spray will leave you drenched.
  • If you have water repellent clothes and boots, go for it! It's like a hidden treasure cave and even in the high season you can have this waterfall all for yourself. Go into the gouge from the bottom, don't climb on top of the rock.
  • YOU WILL GET WET IF YOU GO INTO CAVE TO SEE BASE OF FALL. This was fun but its a little crazy, if you want to see the whole fall you really need a rain poncho and good boots or you can climb to the top up some rocky muddy areas.
  • Really loved this place. Much less crowded then the other waterfalls in the area this one is unique in that you go through a slot canyon to view it. Has a really exotic feel to it. Be sure to take the walk up the hill to view it from above as well.
