  • Can’t say enough how much we enjoyed this tour! Captain and sea mate were very kind and willing to answer all my questions. We saw a whale within ten minutes of being in the harbor. After the tour was done the boat went back to shore to drop off anyone who did not want to fish then went back out for 20-30 min with the people who did want to fish! We each got a pole and went fishing for fresh Icelandic cod! If we caught one big enough they filleted it for us and we got to keep it! Such a cool experience! They also added on free hot chocolate and coffee with cinnamon rolls. Such a nice touch. We stayed warm and dry in red overalls they gave us. Well worth our money personally!
  • This review reflects my experience today which left me and my girlfriend with rather mixed feelings. We didn't see any whales, but that's okay - nobody can control that. The issue was that we had been told on the phone - quite decidedly and enthusiastically - that the tour would be perfectly fine to do with our 14-month-old daughter (something we had been uncertain about). Unfortunately, it was not fine. First, we had been told they could provide an overall in her size, but the smallest ones they had were much too big - I doubt any child her age could fit in them. Fortunately we had brought enough extra layers and warm clothes for her ourselves, so we made do. More importantly, the tour itself really wasn't fit to do with a small child. No fault of the crew, who were perfectly friendly and accommodating, I should stress. But we ended up going quite far out to sea in *very* choppy waters (despite excellent weather), and the only seating on deck was a narrow bench. It was very hard to keep our (crying, seasick) little girl secure on my lap, while straining to stay seated myself as the boat rocked quite violently. I don't mind a bit of discomfort, but this just didn't feel safe. In addition, the tour took almost 4 hours - at least 1h longer than advertised. Fortunately the way back was calmer, but the first two hours of the tour were extremely unpleasant for us. Maybe on a different day, where they stay closer to the harbor (calmer waters, shorter trip), this would be okay to do with a little one. But since they can't predict that ahead of time (as far as I can tell), I really don't think they should be recommending this tour for small children.
  • What an amazing experience. The Captain and his first mate made us feel so welcome and were incredibly friendly. I would recommend this experience to everyone! Humpbacks, minkes and harbour porpoises all in one day. What more could I ask for? Thank you, thank you!!
  • What an amazing experience! The staff were very friendly and provided us with lovely warm overalls. We then sailed over to the whale area and I saw a whale jumping out of the water. The captain then gently sailed the boat over so we could get a really close look. We must have seen several humpback whales around 25 times. So awesome! They also provided us with hot chocolate, coffee, and tasty cinnamon swirl biscuits which was a lovely touch. Well worth it. 😁😁😁
  • Great place, very friendly but also informative organisers. I enjoyed every second of the trip. Had a chance to see quite a number of whales. Hot coffee always great in such conditions.
