Our stop in Borgarnes, we ate in their restaurant and then visited the Museum. The story of the settlers was very interesting and informative. An audio guide through the exhibition.

The main problem with this is not the content, which is informative, but the pace of the exhibit. It takes way to long to experience and there is not a decent way to expedite it because of the audio p...  more »

The Settlement Center is a perfect stop on a tour of Iceland. It's definitely a hidden gem. Food quality is amazing. The staff are upstanding, professional, individuals adding each a unique trait to service. One gentleman was very much an entertainer, to another young man being the leader/knowledgeable one, and a beautiful young woman being the gentle caretaker. They had a great dynamic. Also the local craft beer was excellent.

Delicious affordable vegetarian lunch buffet, great service and excellent location close to the highway. Good options for vegan and gluten free diets. Highly recommended.

Loved everything about this place! The service was great, the location up next to the rocks was super unique and the Fish of the day (3600isk) cod, was our favorite fish of the trip! They had some new craft beers ee tried. We even liked that it had the gift shop next to it. Definitely a great place for dinner!!

Restaurant has good service and, while some dishes are slightly expensive, the prices are very fair. The Museum's Settlement and Saga exhibitions are very well put-together and enjoyable. Worth the trip!
