  • This small museum in the same building as the Library Center is located just off the main road and almost directly next to the much busier settlement. It is wrongly ignored by many tourists. Even some Icelanders did not know it on demand for directions... The exhibition fills a large space, larger or fast acting through its curved walls as two rooms. To see photos to childhood in Iceland in the last about 100 years. The boxes embedded in the walls, where behind some images of everyday objects such as such as toys, are hidden explanatory texts and poems are smart. In the entrance area is also an old Landrover of the midwife. The exhibition is very well served by multilingual guides. Also the staff was very friendly and helpful. In other areas there are nursery at that time and today, as well as a fully mirrored room with a huge display case in the middle with dozens of stuffed birds.
