Where to stay in Husavik

The many visitors that flock to Husavik can choose from a wide range of accommodation options. Hotels and guesthouses tend to be located near the harbor, providing picturesque views and proximity to much of the city's activity. Cottages and campgrounds lie in the outskirts and are often more economical, particularly for large groups or those planning a lengthy stay. These more rural lodgings also have the advantage of being just a stone’s throw away from hiking paths and other outdoor adventures.

  • Well worth the drive to this rather remote area. A short walk southward from the parking lot takes you to a tiny lake surrounded by cliffs. These were formed by a flood that is beyond imagination, and today make for a pretty spot to take in nature.
  • A very popular spot, and having traveled around Iceland I must say that this felt closest to a forest so far, and really nice in autumn colours
  • Stunning place to visit
  • Strange, claustrophobic place, with willow forest and high walls around. During our stay in Iceland the only spot with no wind at all :)
  • Impressive, Sleipnir has it a great paw print in the landscape left behind. Or would it ever may have been up to a waterfall? Sheltered spot with a nice campsite. Walking from here to Vesturdalur!
