  • The Castle Hill with the simple St.Michaels Cathedral, the magnificent Baroque Episcopal Palace, the chapel of blessed Queen Gisela and many other historic buildings is worth a visit. The testimonies of the 1000-year history were the Turks and especially 1944 by the Red Army pulled heavily affected, are exemplary but has been restored. In the Bishop's Palace one commemorates with an exhibition of the coronation of Charles IV and Zita to apostolic Kings of Hungary with the participation of the Bishop of Vesprem in Buda for exactly 100 years ago. Much too little is known, although in the vicinity of Lake Balaton!

  • Signs throughout the town are in Hungarian and English. So despite not speaking Hungarian or German, was able to self guide through the historical buildings. Stopped in the museum and saw the "violin ...  more »
  • A cosy walk can be done, old houses and churches. Exhibitions, interactive games that make the trip interesting. The castle of life might serve as exhibit a of minus very RollingStone.com, you should devote some time to it, although you might want to call ahead for group available. The Vista.
