  • The libego is included in the Budapest Card, we have therefore nothing pay to take advantage of these chairlifts. Ascension begins at 10 o'clock if the weather conditions permit and after taking your tickets, you can sit two by two. The rise is impressive, but the descent is even more. Once up there, you will be taken a picture. It is the tourist trap, but it is not expensive at all. €2 small photo, ready in less than 5 minutes. It's worth! We went up to the belvedere of Mount Janosn and came down by the chairlift. It takes at least 40 to 60 minutes for the round trip. It's very beautiful.

  • Went to the site of Budapest (291, bus terminus, about 40 minutes drive). The place opens at 10 a.m. (to September 2018), round trip ticket costs 1400 HUF (20 weight). This is a cable, that continuing immigration and the decline is about 10 to 15 minutes each as Greece. There is a ticket machine accepts cash and credit, too. Upstairs has a very beautiful view of the surroundings, pleasant Café and a number of walking tracks. We to Erzsébet-kilátó (Elizabeth Lookout Tower is located on a hill on the left upper cable station that requires climbing stairs is not easy, but pretty short reach Tower from open views all around is worth the effort.

  • Bus 291 from downtown takes you to within 100 mts of the chairlift. What a wonderful way to spend an afternoon. The 15 Minute ride up 15 minute ride back are totally relaxing and the views are unbelie...  more »

  • Cheap and delightful. We find out about this from the show Travel Man. It's a proper chairlift, not a cable car, so if you're not a fan of heights, avoid. The ascent is slow and peaceful, and the views of Budapest increasingly spectacular as you rise. There is much to see at the top, and various eating options. There is a further walk to the tower at the very top which is steep but worth it. A little cafe resides in the base of the tower. The best thing of all though is that you'll see all of Budapest ascending likewise, with picnics or little dogs on their knees, to enjoy the clean air and views like you. Like them, you will float over houses where people are barbecuing and pretending not to notice the stream of floating folk moving quietly over their gardens. It's a serene, slightly surreal and quite beautiful trip. (Practical note - take the 291 bus to the base of the lift - the Budapest day ticket covers the route. It's the last stop - Zugliget Libegõ )
  • Absolutely beautiful, a complete must for anyone going to Budapest. It's a little way out of the city, but the 100E (bus) gets you there easily. The chairlift itself is only a few pounds, and once at the top there are amazing views, and a lovely little castle which is definitely worth walking up.
  • I could ride this thing eternally. So quiet and peaceful along the way. The views are absolutely awesome when going down. Very cheap as well.
  • Best thing to do in Budapest : fogaskerekű-childrensrailway then chairlift down.
  • Needs work on the start & stop points in order to bring a cultural experience; such a giving history whilst waiting in the less than inviting coffee shop at the lower station.
