  • The seven-storey building where you notice immediately to the presence of two small neo-Gothic towers that reach 40 meters. The whole building, designed by the architect. Henrik Schmahl in the early nineteen hundred is a mixture of different architectural styles such as Venetian Gothic, Renaissance, art nouveau and Oriental and is covered with colorful majolica tiles and ornamental decorations. The beautiful shopping arcade, currently closed for renovations in progress is characterized by valuable mosaic floors and the use of a barrel vault with coloured and multiple decorative sculptures, occupies two floors of the building and ends with a large hexagonal dome. Will definitely be back soon. When it was built the gallery took its present name that derives from the Parisian Court because it made an analogy to a similar glass walkway in Paris: the Passage des Panoramas If you enjoyed this review, you can read about my many other Lake Balaton and Budapest and I like clicking on: is it useful? Thanks:)

  • Nowadays there is a big construction site, a new hotel will be built on this spot. It is pitty because it was really a very nice, interesting building with some nice little shops.  more »
