  • Avoid the weekends and choose a sunny day to enjoy this pool. It needs a touch of maintenance but you get to hang with the Maygar and not the tourists who crowd Gellert. It is a beautiful trip to the ...  more »
  • Currently, the full Margeret Island one construction site. One is concerned with the full redevelopment of the island. By works, there is no bus and almost everywhere its workers to work with heavy equipment. Who wants to visit the island tour continues the Pest-side of it. There is already a new walking Strip and a new cycle path.

  • This is an open "beach, with several possibilities to swim and enjoy a nice summer day. Its surrounding is beautiful, it is on the Margaret Island in the middle of the Danube river.  more »

  • Big, fun place with quite good options of pools and slides. Also variety of typical hungarian snacks and foods with reasonable price. Only down side is that in the end of the summer (around September) it's closing at 7pm already, and they close the bathrooms for changing and kick you out of there before 7...
  • Very good outdoor beach, with many pools and food options; however there is usually an enormous crowd consisting of the riff-raff and there is also grime everywhere, last time someone left a diaper at the side of a pool :s as well as the pool was weird colored, full of hair and other stuff. There are many stories of stuff being stolen, thus I have put all my belongings into the lockers, I even kept my towel there and so nothing was stolen from me. Would be the very best beach if there was face control and more cleaning, now go only at your own risk :)
  • Often crowded, full of noisy and bothersome people (obviously including kids) . The pools are not particularly clean. There are always lines for getting in, getting out going to the slides. Also, it's not cheap at all. The location is good if you take the bus otherwise is a painfully long walk, and I'd not recommend it if I knew of better options.
  • Really nice bath at the Margit island. Good for hanging out and lot of space for children. Really good and greasy langos!
  • They have a great kids pool as well as hot springs for grown-ups to soak in. Stake out your place under a tree early, it fills up quickly, but the pools are quite huge and there's plenty of swimming for all. Not as atmospheric as the neoclassical Szécsény, but it gets the job done.
