Fővárosi Szabó Ervin Könyvtár is the largest library network in Budapest, Hungary.The Metropolitan Ervin Szabó Library's main branch is housed in the 19th-century neo-baroque Wenckheim Palace.The municipal library needed more space as its collection grew, so it expanded to a network of additional buildings while restoring the palace as a national monument. The library is now 13,000 m² and houses Budapest's largest public collection of books with a capacity for 1,100,000 volumes.In 2003, the International Real Estate Federation awarded the Prix d’Excellence to its central building.

  • It has very old and beautiful study rooms and a wide selection of books. Definietly a good place to study.
  • It is a beautiful library in an old palace,but the open time showed in Google Map is not correct in holiday,please find the accuracy information in the web site.Today I went to this library,but unfortunately It is closed,namely ZARVA!
  • Check out the castle side. It worth the price.
  • if you wanna enter you just need to pay 200 ft for registration card, and u can enter in 1 year, and you can find here almost every book. If you are a tourist, take a reg card, and check the 4. floor! It's worth it!!!
