3.5/5 based on 500+ reviews on the web
Relax in one of the octogonal pools illuminated by holes in the 16th century Ottoman dome at Kiraly Baths, the city's oldest thermal baths. One of the few baths in the city with its own source of thermal water, this space has remained largely unchanged from its original state, making you feel like you are stepping back in time. The baths, pools, and Jacuzzi are all unisex facilities. Bring your own swimsuit, towel, and flip flops, and store your personal belongings in the secure lockers. Note that children are not permitted at the baths. Put Kiraly Baths into our Budapest trip itinerary maker to see other points of interest to visit during your vacation in Budapest.

  • Great atmosphere, perfect chillout location. Building is old and creepy, in some places even disgusting, but it oddly didn't bother me - only somehow enhanced this unique experience. Staff was very nice and helpful. You can rent towel and swimming suit on the spot (didn't try, just seen it on the price list inside). Swimming caps are not required (unusual in Budapest).
  • Perfect place to hide from the everyday troubles. The bath has a unique retro look. The cabin system is just brand new, however the bath section was never renovated. There is a big medium hot pool, a small very hot pool, a cold pool as well. Also a sauna, a steam bath is available and a Jacuzzi is there for the customers, however it is difficult to reserve it.
  • Relaxing baths. Not many tourists in there, seems popular with the locals. There are numerous baths in there of different temperatures and 2 saunas. I liked the outdoor bath the most - warm and cozy while being outdoor. Prices are great especially in the morning (9:00 AM - 12:00 PM) where you can bath for only 1300 ft.
  • I enjoy this bath especially, because it has the old unpolished look and combine this with its originating history and you will feel the wind if the old times. One of the six baths to visit in Budapest!
  • Disgusting old place. Looked like the decor of a horrormovie..
