  • Also in Budapest, as was the case with us, to give thanks for the end of a plague, it was customary to erect the obelisks votive offerings. The Holy Trinity column was erected in 1713 after the end of the plague that killed ben 75,000 people. Is located in the main square of Buda, just a few meters away from the extraordinary Matthias Church. It is a white sculpture, which depicted many people who die due to plague. The easiest way to get to this square is to use bus number 16, traveling from Pest, from Lanchid Ter, and goes up to here.
