  • The Gresham Palace was originally built by the Gresham Life Assurance Company of England in 1906. It was nearly destroyed during WWII and abandoned. Thanks to preservationist, it was saved and remodel...  more »

  • The building, in spite of its history and architecture, is not a public building, but a 5-star hotel. The building was dedicated to the Economist Gresham, founder of the London Stock Exchange and author of the phrase: "Money badly managed drives away wealth". The dominant style in this building is the secession, with carved stone imitating nature.
