  • I like this place especially on summer evenings. So peaceful and lovely. Many people goes there to walk their pets and sports activities. Nice lake , and zoo nearby
  • It is the City Park and is big and very nice. Inside there is the Spa Szchenyi. There are two play areas for children in the two opposite sides of the Park. Everywhere scattered colored benches. Beautiful Chateau on the Lake that is home of the museums

  • In Budapest there is so much greenery everywhere, but the Varosliget City Park. It is a Pest and can be reached by the yellow underground line, direction Mexicoi Ut. In fact, it's a huge park, so you can access them descending through several Metro stations. It is indeed possible to alight at the heroes ' square and from there walk to the Center, or get off at the stop of Szecheneyi Furdo and you are right outside the entrance to the Spa Szecheneyi, but also a stone's throw from the city and the Zoo. It really is a beautiful park, which you must not miss, especially if visiting with children.

  • Although I only visited a "small portion" of it, the "Varosliget" made me feel as if I was in an oassis that is simply in the very heart of the city ⛲🏞.
  • Our local guide Attila was proud to show off this wonderful park. Some of the offbeat attractions include, the Anonymous statue (local tradition says if writers touch his pen you will be inspired) A statue of George Washington as well as Dracula actor and local boy, Bela Lagosi peeking out from a niche in the castle. Enjoy great local food and music if a festival is in season.
  • Undergoing controversial developments. For sure infrastructure is poor now, few public toilets or facilities to eat at, and grass is never in good condition, but no trees need to be cut down!
  • Big, open park with lots of attractions and restaurants which include the zoo, baths and more. You can get bird feed for the ducks and other birds while walking along the pond.
  • Cool park. Check out the castle and lake.
