It is the first public park in the city and dates back to the early nineteen hundred incorporating different attractions that were made to celebrate 1000 years of the nation in 1896. We dedicated Sunday because the atmosphere is even more fun to view the presence of a flea market and food stands around Vajdahunyad Castle, overlooking the large lake where you can go boating in summer and in winter becomes an ice rink. As I wrote in other special reviews in the park there are several other attractions such as the Széchenyi thermal baths the statue of David, the agricultural Museum. Everywhere there are walking trails and are game equipped with slides and benches. So we spent a relaxing day if this review did you like, you can read about my many other for Budapest and I like clicking on: is it useful? Thanks:)

Heroes ' square, "hiding" behind a real treasure. Surrounded by greenery, stands the Vajdahunyad Castle enchanted-looking. This is a mock castle built originally in paper and then in brick, now houses the Museum of agriculture. The Park also includes a zoo, the baths and an artificial lake that winter is used for skating. I absolutely recommend a visit!

Beautiful, quite big park with a gorgeous castle. You can easily find what you are looking for: nice green places with lots of shade, soft grass to sit on, fitness equipment, playgrounds for kids, a lake and casino. There are also mini restaurant where you can have a drink or meal.

Gorgeous park. On the weekend there is a carnival sort of thing going on by the castle so it's interesting to have a walk around and then go to the quiet park area and enjoy peace and quiet. It is a real oasis in the city, walking distance to downtown. You'll find better areas on the Buda side but this is a great place in its own right.

It's a huge park with lots of green area. You can have a long walk or lie in the grass or play with your kids. There are many spectacle nearby like Heroes square, Museum of Fine Arts, Art Galery, The Budapest Zoo etc. And if you need some refreshment there is a place called Kertem which is one of Budapest's best open air bar.

This is a beautiful sprawling park with a very nice castle at the heroes square side of it and some lovely walks. We visited on a beautiful sunny day which probably helped too but it was a lovely place!
