  • It is the first public park in the city and dates back to the early nineteen hundred incorporating different attractions that were made to celebrate 1000 years of the nation in 1896. We dedicated Sunday because the atmosphere is even more fun to view the presence of a flea market and food stands around Vajdahunyad Castle, overlooking the large lake where you can go boating in summer and in winter becomes an ice rink. As I wrote in other special reviews in the park there are several other attractions such as the Széchenyi thermal baths the statue of David, the agricultural Museum. Everywhere there are walking trails and are game equipped with slides and benches. So we spent a relaxing day if this review did you like, you can read about my many other for Budapest and I like clicking on: is it useful? Thanks:)

  • City Park is ideal to relax and s away from noises of the city nice route in the middle of the lakes and lawns, jets of water which leads us to the zoo or to the szecheniy baths

  • Heroes ' square, "hiding" behind a real treasure. Surrounded by greenery, stands the Vajdahunyad Castle enchanted-looking. This is a mock castle built originally in paper and then in brick, now houses the Museum of agriculture. The Park also includes a zoo, the baths and an artificial lake that winter is used for skating. I absolutely recommend a visit!

  • This park is really nice. For kids there are 3 different playgrounds. In the summer you can find boats on the lake in the winter you can do ice skating. The museum of agriculture is perfect for when it rains
  • Nice, big park, comes with a small castle and a lake. Clean and green, they also organize a fair with all the Hungarian food you might want. Totally recommend it for a stroll and a meal
  • "WOW WHAT AN AMAZING DAY" 17/9/17 We just happened to stumble across this very impressive display of military hardware in the heart of the park. Everyone was so helpful and friendly, they encouraged us to ask questions and it really made us feel very welcome in their beautiful park.
  • Great place to take a walk in - was quiet and not with loads of crowds. Near the castle there are museums and other buildings to explore. Pleasant afternoon spent wandering around the grounds.
  • The lake in the park turns into the second largest outdoor ice rink in Europe as it freezes in the winter. It is definitely worth seeing. You can lie on the grass and read your book, you can spend time with your friends. There are also many historical monuments and important buildings around the park.
