Climb the hill to Citadel for a panoramic view of the city, the Danube, and its eight bridges. Built in 1851 by the Habspurgs to demonstrate their control over the Hungarians, this fortress was never used in battle. Climb the winding stairs to the top of the hill or take a bus, taxi, or car and park in the available spots. • The place as such does not have any relevance, there is a statue of giant, super to know... but the best thing of this place are the views about the entire city from different angles!

  • Take a hike up to the Citadel and you're treated to incredible views the whole way up. There are great displays outside with pictures from the past and information about its history.
  • Glad we got off our Hop on bus. Leisurely stroll lots of photo opportunities. Couple of restaurants which looked busy manageable by walking but better to use buses to save time and energy
