Outdoor Activity
As a marine laboratory, Roatan Institute for Marine Sciences - Anthony's Key Resort does a lot of work in the study and preservation of marine life while striving to bring once-in-a-lifetime experiences to visitors. During your visit to the institute, learn about the marine life that surrounds the island. Then many visitors sign up for an excursion package, which allows you to head out into the water to meet the animals (most focus on dolphins). Packages include but are not limited to diving with, training, and greeting dolphins. Because dolphins are wild, you will be given a refund or rescheduling options if you don't spot any. • Expensive, but well worth it. Terrific rehabilitative facility, not a sketchy amusement park. Great staff, incredibly informative experience.
  • It is a quiet place to learn a little history of the island and its customs, now well there a guide is to see and read. I don't know if I have to pay to enter because I did a swim with dolphins and this tour they gave me free admission but if they have to pay not I recommend it.
