As a marine laboratory, Roatan Institute for Marine Sciences - Anthony's Key Resort does a lot of work in the study and preservation of marine life while striving to bring once-in-a-lifetime experiences to visitors. During your visit to the institute, learn about the marine life that surrounds the island. Then many visitors sign up for an excursion package, which allows you to head out into the water to meet the animals (most focus on dolphins). Packages include but are not limited to diving with, training, and greeting dolphins. Because dolphins are wild, you will be given a refund or rescheduling options if you don't spot any.   • The site is paradise, the vegetation, the mountains, the sea, breathtaking! the tour is extremely well-planned, from the moment get you to the site by boat until allowed to swim with dolphins, monitors are passionate, and answer all your questions. Security measures are taken at all stages of the tour, everything to make the stay enjoyable and as stress-free as possible. Because we're going to say, this isn't all the days that we'll go swimming with dolphins! It's intimidating these mammals! During our stay there was three baby of 3 months, it was as charming as all to see them having fun with their mother! The water is clean, you can see fish swimming around s

  • We spent maybe an hour in the institute. There is a lot of standing and reading. I would have paid more to have a guide, or something to liven the place up. There are a lot of mounted fish, exhibits, ...  more »

  • Expensive, but well worth it. Terrific rehabilitative facility, not a sketchy amusement park. Great staff, incredibly informative experience.
