Pulhapanzak Waterfall, San Buenaventura
(4.7/5 based on 200+ reviews on the web)
The giant, cascading Pulhapanzak Waterfall represents the largest falls in Honduras. Surrounded by a lush green rainforest the water pours down the rock face 43 m (140 ft) high. The falls are a destination because of a cave behind it that visitors can climb into and explore; visitors may also swim at the base of the falls. Nearby trails allow you to visit the river below the falls--be prepared to climb over boulders while being sprayed by the water from above. Others may opt to take a canopy ride that glides you over the crest of the waterfall. • I think pulhapanzak falls is an ideal place to disconnect from the city and the noise. Much of Tegucigalpa as sps, is a distance not too distant a little more than 123 km from these two cities and that really will not feel at the time of enjoyment. I went for a weekend with a group of friends and we enjoyed very much, since we have adventure, fun and relaxation in a single site. Found me the cabins comfortable and very comfortable. • I really loved this visit because it's cheap and beautiful. You can bring your food and spend a good time there with family and friends. There is a nice canopy you can enjoy and you won't spend a lot,...  more »
  • They have made many positive changes, but I think that it leaves much to be desired lately as a National Park; It is a place that when it rains then becomes a very muddy and unsafe place for people, has many spaces to its around are not well used, also believe that the entry is very unpleasant with a smell of cattle excrement that does not call attention to a good Park.
