Piratas, tesoro, insectos, reptiles definitivamente había algo para todos. Disfrutamos mucho el canopy también pero creo que nos llevaron a otro sitio para eso.Pirates, treasure, insects, reptiles definitely had something for everyone. We enjoyed very much the canopy also but I think that we were taken to another site for that.show original
We visited Gumbalimba Park as an excursion from Carnival Cruise, although it wasn't listed under the name "Gumbalimba." I think it was called "Parrots, Monkeys and Pirates of the Carribean" or some su... read more »
We went in a guided cruise tour and it was a good family experience. My daughter loved being able to hold the monkeys and macaws. They also have a beach and native plants of the area. They have changi... read more »
This was one of the highlights of our cruise! We went on a tour of this park and then to Tabyana Beach. Our tour guide was great and gave us a lot of detailed information about the park and the island itself. We got to hold a large bird (Macaw?) and several Capuchin monkeys! The monkeys were amazing! They had so much character and were so much fun to hold and be around! The rest of the park was very pretty and well kept! I loved this park!!
This was the excursion I chose to do while on a cruise. I was a bit hesitant because the excursion rating on the cruise line page was not very good. I am glad that I chose to ignore those reviews, and take the chance. I had a great time! We were taken via a bus to the park, and then we met our guide that took us on a guided tour. The tour was really interesting, and while on the tour you get a chance to have a Macaw and Monkeys sit on your shoulder. They take your photograph with both, which you can buy later on a CD Rom for a very reasonable price. After the tour you are welcome to explore on your own and take a bus back at your own leisure. There is a lot to do after the walking tour. They have a wonderful pool, a beach, and a zip line. I would highly recommend this to anyone that is looking for an interesting excursion while on a cruise. Hint: The Pirates bridge is totally awesome! Take a towel and swimsuit so you can enjoy the pool and the beach. Bring some cash to buy the CD Rom that includes all of the photos taken of you while on your tour.
Seeing the monkeys in Gumbalimba was the real treat for me, but the parrots and all of the natural beauty is nothing to ignore. They even have a beach! A day trip to Gumbalimba is something that you should consider.
Great experience. You get hands on with different animals. The monkeys were the cutest things ever!
This was the best shore excursion I have ever done. The park is beautiful, the people are warm and inviting. And you can interact with little monkeys! That experience alone was priceless. The beach is exceptional. There were security guards to keep your belongings safe while you swam. The live band playing Caribbean music....this is paradise! I highly recommend this park to anyone visiting the island.
