  • When I Arrived I wasn't very overwhelmed, It was a very basic tour and I was beginning to be thankful that I had a Amsterdam pass and didn't waste any money on this..Until we arrive in the large studio and a Expert was giving a talk on how paints used to be made and demonstrated in front of us how Rembrandt would have had himself or students make the paint. It was like watching alchemy and it was in my opinion it's saving grace. Also a beautiful Selection of art adorning the walls. And grab an Audio tour but if the expert is showing you stuff in the Studio just keep quiet and watch!
  • Cute little museum, with live demonstrations of a couple aspects of an artists life from back in his time. Nicely decorated and plenty of Rembrandt's work to see, well worth a visit if you're a fan. Quite small but priced accordingly. Don't bother buying tickets online to save time; there's no separate line for entering so you'll have to wait in the ticket line either way.
  • Well, it's an old house in which someone famous lived. If you're really into him, into art (but studying art, not just admiring art), you're gonna like it. But otherwise go see his masterpieces at other museums. Not my scene. High lights: great staff and structure, very welcoming.
  • A good experience to see the inside of a typical house as well as how Rembrandt lived as well as how he painted and a bit of a study of his social circle. It contains plenty of art but most of it generic or of painters influenced and related to the master. Most of works done by Rembrandt are sketches and pressings from copper plates. Still, it is worth walking through. There are free small lockers for coats and hand bags.
  • For me this was the educational highlight in Amsterdam. With an established love for details this house shows an authentic approach to the life and work of Rembrandt. The employees were SO nice and we could ask a lot of questions about the artistic techniques and the historic background. Furthermore the demonstrations of etching/printing and the mixing of colors were amazing! Thank you for an amazing visit. And shoutout to the compassionate employees who were so helpful and friendly.
