  • With gorgeous views of the San Pedro volcano and a wide plaza that welcomes, this simple colonial church is surprising when one visits Santiago Atitlan. Inside the religious syncretism of these peoples is discovered, with many Saints Catholic but dresses style decorated with wide bands of color and indigenous ranging from one side to another Church. One side opens a patio where a chapel is located. It is a very nice place to visit after a walk by the market and the countless stalls selling typical products of the area. But beware the way of dressing before entering and physical appearance, because a member of our group threw it from the Church by bringing piercing.

  • In the incomparable setting of Lake Atitlan is Santiago, like many of the places in Guatemala the treatment is very cordial. Very important place from the point of view of recent history is reborn little by little with the strength of your best value: people. The Church, plaza and schools aldedanos set is very particular and special.

  • After climbing a considerable slope and stairs, bullet in a lovely square which gives access to the stairs of entrance of this beautiful white and whitewashed Church of Santiago, I arrived when praying is the Rosary and the Catholic faithful were dressed with characteristic rosaries and those so colorful blankets of the inhabitants of the area, it is not a church recharged as the Spanish or Italian and in that simplicity is its beauty. At his feet is a square and an interesting food market that is worth seeing, with its fruits, vegetables, etc.
