  • To spend a different day ok but nothing striking ... butterflies, nature, but I saw the most beautiful natural parks.

  • Just as good, if not better than hikes and walks in the hills and the volcanos, zip lining on the ultra XXL path was an outstanding way to enjoy and appreciate the beauties of the lake surroundings. I...  more »
  • Definitely do the ultra extremo version of the zip line. It's a bit of a hike, but the views are so worth it. At first, I was scared of the height and the long zip lines (at some of them you "fly" for...  more »

  • This is a really great place for all ages and a great way to get some exercise 😊. My family and I had a great time feeding the pizote which are small mammals that are related to Raccoons. Part of my family rode the zip lines and they had a great time. There are many bridges to cross and you can see lots of beautiful waterfalls too. We also walked down to the lake and had a swim.
  • Well kept Reserve. Beautiful waterfall, nice trails with lot of suspension bridges. Monkey & Coati were kept in an fenced off area, so everyone would not miss them. Butterfly garden was good, but not too many inside at the time of my visit. Went the lake side, and found excellent view there.
  • Lovely place, we spent an afternoon here looking at butterflies and monkeys. Also has access to the lake and you can go see the waterfall. Recommend
  • Excellent zip-lines! We took the ultra, so much fun! One thing I would recommend is to put insect repellent, we got bitten so badly, I don't think it was only mosquitoes...
  • Zip line was awesome. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Cool to see the monkeys and birds on the hike to the top of the zip line.

Where to stay in Panajachel

For its size, Panajachel offers an excellent selection of places to stay. The best remain just a stone's throw from the lake, near the town's ferry terminal, and consist of mid-range hotels, bed and breakfasts, and inns. If you look a few streets back from the water, you'll find some simple but budget-friendly accommodations along Calle Santander.
