  • Three pueblos are part of trio Ixil, Nebaj, Chajul and Cotzal. Duty to remember and not just for the authenticity of local craftsmanship but especially for heavy diasporas and exterminations, first by the Spanish and in more recent years by the Government. This small museum remembers what is was. Today it seems just passed but people's eyes will read again the horror of war. Try to be minimally invasive, don't get too close to children and if you want to make photos sure to ask, given that the tv here practically doesn't exist yet. Be respectful.
